– We are looking for someone passionate about music and familiar with the roster and the musical worlds our artists come from.

Red Bull Records is a full-service independent record label dedicated to long-term artist development, with a diverse roster across a variety of musical genres. We are seeking an experienced executive from sports, media or entertainment fields to oversee all interaction with brand partners for our recording artists and label. This newly created position will be responsible for supporting the identification, development and negotiation of co-brand and strategic partnerships for Red Bull Records’ artists, music, songwriters and the overall company. The candidate must be knowledgeable in the music world but keenly aware of of new developments in the brand space as well.

Responsibilities:

Brand and sports partnerships
• Develop integrated brand campaigns which clearly achieve brand objectives while staying true to the Red Bull brand and community.
• Create compelling pitches for artists to excite and engage partners, providing appropriate tools, ideas, materials and presentations.
• Ensure all new partnerships deliver value to increase Red Bull Records artists’ commercial awareness.
• Development of marketing strategies and creative ideas to enhance existing partnerships.
• Conceptualize and execute advertising and sponsorship programs that deliver revenue targets and leverage commercial assets.
• Forge and cultivate relationships with top sports entities such as NHL, MLB, UFC, WWE, WNBA, NBA, etc. as well as international sporting organizations with cultural impact.

Red Bull integration
• Leverage Red Bull Records’ assets with key internal Red Bull business partners to pursue strategic partnerships that strengthen Red Bull’s competitive advantages.
• Development and implementation of the Red Bull Records brand, including marketing strategies integrated with Red Bull’s campaigns, events, and digital marketing across all channels.

Commercial licensing
• Drive new business initiatives for the Red Bull Records roster to achieve tangible results in the form of Red Bull Records’ artists presence in national commercials (TV and online), film, television and games.
• Aggressive pursuit of music licensing opportunities, endorsement deals and tour sponsors to maximize revenue and exposure for artists and songwriters.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, A&R, and artist management to support priority projects.
• Lead/support all aspects of licensing negotiations and execution on behalf of Red Bull Records.
• Development of customized partnership programs using Red Bull Records’ commercial assets that align with partner objectives and generate revenue.
• Oversee product placement opportunities in videos and branded content including outreach, negotiation of fees, contracts and seeing through deliverables.
• Develop market expertise through continuous focus on and knowledge of the competitive and market environment.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience handling brand partnerships

Art Department Workflow Specialist / PREFLIGHT OPERATOR

The Workflow Specialist works alongside our Creative Director – this is a new position. This position will include Pre-Flighting all incoming files, supervising a staff of Pre-Press operators, as well as participating in communications with clients, vendors and internal clients (Sales and CSR groups). Focusing on workflow, procedures and schedules, the Workflow Specialist will assist the Creative Director in continually organizing the art department with a focus on proofing/approving correct files, reviewing print samples and improving systems. Previous client interaction experience is a must and music industry experience is a huge plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
PREFLIGHT –
•Taking existing art and making it prepress ready, including screening (overall and object based screening)
•Ensuring all graphic elements are consistent across related files and packaging
•Proofing
•Labeling and archiving of final files
•Working efficiently with other graphic artists on same projects
•Right first time quality checking art files and proofs for accuracy

WORKFLOW –
Responsible for workflow / scheduling / output of art department including proofing, approvals & occasional design of projects

Giving continuous feedback to staff as well as completing self-reviews

Actively works with Creative Director to develop and lead team- building events within the department

Mentors junior staff and is available to critique their work.

Contributes to the development of the creative team’s culture and quality standards in pursuit of elevating the art department output.

The LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference) is the only major conference celebrating and supporting genres of Latin music that are left of center and forging the way Latinos,especially young, bicultural-millennial Latinos, define themselves. Hailed by The New York Times as the “Sundance of Latin music”, the LAMC is also the largest Latin music conference in the US.

The 18th annual LAMC will continue its expanded focus on a diverse array of special events dedicated to music, art and film and we’re looking for hardworking and dedicated volunteers to help us celebrate.

The LAMC will take place in venues across New York City during the week of July 11-15, 2017. We’re looking for volunteers to assist in various parts of the conference, including but not limited to registration, press, production, etc.

All volunteers are unpaid and travel and accommodations are not provided. Volunteers do receive a complimentary registration giving access to all of the conference, including panels, showcases and concerts.

Merge Records is an independent record label based in Durham, North Carolina. We release 20 to 40 records each year on CD and vinyl, representing bands from all over the world and distributing their music internationally.

We have a full-time opening for a Warehouse Assistant who will report directly to the Warehouse Manager. The salary range for this position is $25,000 to $29,000 with full benefits and ample paid time off. REQUIREMENTS

Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written)
Strong problem-solving skills
Flexibility to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing work assignments
Familiarity with G Suite, Word, and Excel
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to lift 40+ pounds

PREFERRED SKILLS
Familiarity with QuickBooks
Customer service experience
Knowledge of forklift operation

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
Handle all aspects of Merge website store and Bandcamp orders: enter in QuickBooks; pick, pack, and ship; respond to customer service requests; etc.
Assist with pick/pack/ship of all retail store and distributor orders and enter in QuickBooks
Pick/pack/ship all outgoing shipments via USPS, FedEx, and UPS on a daily basis
Monitor stock at multiple physical and online locations and report weekly to various staff
Receive, check in, shelve, and transfer all shipments and new arrivals as needed at office and warehouse
Operate forklift (after professional training)
Ensure all office and warehouse trash, recyclables, cardboard, and compost are properly disposed of every week
Keep basement and warehouse clean and tidy
Distribute and ship promos as assigned
Refurbish damaged vinyl and shrink-wrap sellable stock
Participate in year-end inventory count of stock and graphics
Complete other duties as assigned
