Description of Position: Little Empire Music is seeking an Executive Assistant that is highly visible and is in regular contact with internal and external senior executives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Serve as first point of contact for the Executive

Red Bull Records is a full-service independent record label dedicated to long-term artist development, with a diverse roster across a variety of musical genres. We are seeking a candidate to oversee and drive the marketing activities of the label and our artists. This position will be involved in every step of a marketing campaign from concept through execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Develop overall marketing strategies for our artists, releases, and label brand, coordinating input from our in-house staff, along with the artist and their team.
– Create comprehensive marketing plans that include all necessary information and details to plan and prioritize each release.
– Create weekly marketing updates, and periodic one-sheets
– Manage project budgets, sales goals, and campaign timelines

Job Duties:
• Conceiving and implementing creative marketing strategies and campaigns, managing marketing budgets, setting and achieving sales, streaming and revenue targets for KLS releases in the US.

Position Summary:

The Senior Royalties Manager will manage the process of researching sound recording and music copyrights to facilitate accurate and timely payment of royalties to rights owners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work with our Music Licensing, Programming, Business Intelligence, Broadcast Engineering and Legal teams to analyze and improve existing processes, and/or develop new processes for researching music and sound recording copyrights.
•Ensure the ongoing accuracy of reports of use to rights holders.
•Work with multiple teams as new systems are developed and deployed into production to ensure integrity and accuracy of royalty data.
•Manage and work with a team of copyright researchers to review Sirius XM broadcast library and playlist data, and sound recording and music royalty statements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Sirius XM is seeking an experienced music executive to focus on our direct license relationships with music and sound recordings rights holders. The Director, Music Licensing will cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with music labels, aggregators, and other rights holders, in support of Sirius XM’s direct licensing initiatives. The Director, Music Licensing will work closely with Programming and Business Development on new services and areas of expansion, taking a primary role in license negotiations, and managing ongoing partnerships. The Director, Music Licensing will manage operational aspects of music royalties including ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of reports and payments. To be successful in this role, this person will have to work cross functionally with our Finance, Programming, Legal, IT, and Engineering groups. The SVP Music Licensing will be a primary contact point for our music industry partners, and should have strong relationships within the music industry, excellent communication skills and executive presence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Negotiate agreements for music royalties with music labels and other rights holders.
•Oversee details of current licensing agreements and renegotiate new agreements as they come due.
•Manage relationships with licensors; including ensuring that Sirius XM has complete and accurate metadata for each licensors’ catalog, and facilitating interactions with our programming teams.
•Oversee all operational aspects of payments; work cross functionally with music programming, IT, and Accounting to ensure payments are calculated correctly and delivered on schedule.
•Work cross functionally to develop methods to ensure our systems reflect correct information for our current royalty data and develop better ways to increase accuracy of data capture going forward.
•Keep senior executives informed on all relevant issues and developments related to music licensing and royalty reporting and payments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Domino Publishing Company is seeking a full time Licensing/Copyright Coordinator based in our Brooklyn, NY office. This position reports to the Licensing Director. We are seeking an individual who has great interpersonal skills, is a self-starter, and has the ability to work in an open group environment. The Licensing/Copyright Coordinator position is responsible for performing rights, mechanical, new media, and synchronization licensing. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills; the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment; strong musical knowledge, and an awareness of the ever-changing music marketplace. At least two years of professional experience. Experience in the music business is required.

Performing Rights:
• Primary point of contact with the American & Canadian Performing Rights Organizations. Responsibilities include:
o Notifying the appropriate PRO(s) of all new catalog acquisitions
o Occasionally registering new compositions on behalf of our writer/publisher clients
o Manage any issues/disputes/counter claims, in coordination with GM, Director, and UK Administration Dept
• Locating information in connection with the known synchronizations of compositions within our control (e.g., Music cue sheets from various TV and Motion Picture studios and ‘media buy’ information from Ad Agencies/Competitrack)

Mechanical / New Media Licenses:
• Responsible for issuing and tracking mechanical licenses in the US and Canada in coordination with Licensing Director
• Primary point of contact with the major labels/indie labels/HFA/CMRRA for mechanical licensing and related
• Assisting GM/Director with new media/blanket agreements
Synchronization Licenses
• Will be assigned responsibility of certain incoming synchronization license requests by the Licensing Director
• Expected to research and understand all rights that are being requested, and in conjunction with Licensing Director and/or GM – to seek clearance/approval from our clients and to negotiate the terms/fees with licensees (Networks, Production, Film Co, Ad Agencies, etc.) on behalf of our clients
Other administrative duties
• Special projects as assigned
• When appropriate, responsibilities will include registering copyrights with the US Copyright Office, and keeping track of the status of these registrations

REQUIRMENTS:
• Minimum of 2 – 3 year experience in Licensing and/or Administration in Music Publishing or related industry
• Basic knowledge of music publishing and licensing (synchronization, mechanical, print, arrangement, performance, etc.) are must
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team as well as with other departments/clients
• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience with Music Maestro and YouTube CMS is a plus
