Mute is looking for an intern in the Marketing department. Background in office administration or marketing is a plus, but not required. All candidates must be in the New York City area and available to work 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays), totaling 24 hours a week. Position is paid. Applicants should be enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Compiling weekly department reports
 Support with digital marketing and social media posts

Domino Publishing – Creative Licensing Manager

Domino Publishing is seeking an experienced creative to join our sync-licensing team in Los Angeles. The position reports directly to the Senior Director of Creative Licensing in New York.
Responsibilities will focus on frontline contact between Domino and key active music supervisors from a variety of fields, keeping abreast of new production developments and licensing opportunities, maintaining existing contacts while seeking out and developing new contacts in the music licensing community. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the types of artists / genres of music that are appropriate for prospective placements. This is a tremendous opportunity for an individual who has great interpersonal skills, is a self-starter, and has an ability to work in an open and creative environment.

Responsibilities:
● Distribute, pitch and promote Domino’s catalog via music searches, digital and physical marketing & meetings and servicing.
● Jointly with the Creative department staff, this position is responsible for overseeing the creation of unique promotional/pitching tools (such as thematic samplers), the organizing and effectuating of mass mailings, as well as formulating pitches for specific licensing opportunities.
● Track outreach and pitches for review.
● Establish, foster and enhance relationships with music supervisors and music producers.
● Communicate with label and publishing teams, artist clients and managers to represent Domino’s sync team and sync initiatives
● Represent Domino at professional events such as concerts, showcases, listening parties, mixers, and others.
● Conceptualize and execute Los Angeles-based artist and writer showcases and workshops.
● Consult with Domino Publishing Co Licensing Department with regards to any requests for ‘ballpark quotes’, licensing fees & terms.
● Seek out new business and creative opportunities for our artist clients, such as work-for-hire recordings, remixes and covers with music supervisors and agency music producers.
● In collaboration with the Senior Director of Creative Licensing, write and prepare a weekly electronic newsletter, with an emphasis on new releases, new signings, and artists that are on tour in key markets (Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, etc.), as well as
● Liaise with various partners, in regards to strategizing campaigns for our key artist/writer clients.

Requirements:
• Minimum 3-6 years licensing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Extensive music knowledge, as the position will be responsible for the marketing of Domino’s many, diverse clients to the licensing community.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to multitask.

Domino Recording Company is seeking a part time Publicity Department intern based in our Brooklyn, NY office. This position reports to both the Junior Publicist and Head of Publicity & Communications, and will be tasked with assisting both throughout the course of the internship.

We are seeking an individual who has great interpersonal skills, is a self-starter, and has the ability to work in an open and creative group environment. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, strong musical knowledge, and an awareness of the ever-changing music marketplace. Essential to the role is a desire to understand how music publicity plays a role in the larger record release ecosystem.

Term of internship: 4 months.

Intern duties include but are not limited to:

Bloodshot Records seeks full-time Retail Marketing Director to work in our Chicago office.

Bloodshot is looking for a motivated and excited candidate, with experience in physical retail, to run our retail department. Duties include global physical product sales liaison with distributors in all territories, developing new release marketing plans tailored for each artist/release, informing accounts of new release, direct sales to specific indie accounts, researching and building indie account direct sales, monitoring stock levels at distributors and along tour dates, organizing in-store performances, maintaining the catalog and UPC database, invoicing, staffing pop-up shop, packing and shipping, and creatively working catalog titles. The applicant must be comfortable navigating distributors’ B2Bs, Almighty Retail, AtVenu, as well as making phone calls. Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Google Sheets are required. Experience with MailChimp, FileMaker Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus.

Candidate must have at least one year of paid work experience in retail sales marketing, distribution, or as a store buyer. The applicant needs to be a quick learner, self-directed and extremely comfortable working independently; however, they need to work well with digital retail and mail order departments. Must be outgoing, organized, level-headed, hold strong indie ethics, and be a serious music fan who is passionate about much of the music on the label.

Major independent global record label is looking to expand! The Eleven Seven Label Group consists of Eleven Seven Music, Better Noise Records, and Five Seven Music with offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Berlin. E7LG is seeking a Manager, Digital Strategy – Streaming Catalog position in New York. This is a full-time position which offers great benefits. This position reports to the Label Manager, E7LG Catalog and is a key component of the digital marketing team. This person will support continued development and growth of a roster of rock and alternative artists. Responsibilities will include:
• Spearheading promotional campaigns and playlist maximization with digital service providers for the label’s catalog
• Designing and implementing creative initiatives, facilitating requests internally as well as between managers and artists
• Helping to maintain artist web and social platforms initiatives.
• Develop and execute digital marketing and content distribution strategies for the label’s artists; prepare pitches to key streaming platforms, secure campaigns and marketing opportunities for catalog titles
• Partner Management: Support and manage relationships with key digital partner accounts. Liaise with label distribution partners to execute digital marketing initiatives.
• Creative Marketing and Revenue Development: Grow artist awareness, site traffic and content syndication through third-party editorials, feature placements, social networking strategies, marketing programs, D2C initiatives, contests/sweepstakes and exclusive content promotions to drive revenue
• Other Priority Marketing: Work with the marketing team to execute catalog campaigns, tour promotions and support all other company initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
• An understanding of digital service providers, social media platforms, industry trends and new technologies.
• Impeccable organizational skills
• Digital marketing experience in the label/management/agency world is ideal; 1-2+ years of experience managing the use of and/or relationships with digital distribution and social platforms
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• The ability to independently manage one’s time and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet associated deadlines
• The drive to take initiative, work independently and be accountable while also working as a team player who is collaborative, positive and flexible
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

The primary focus of the position his to keep the artist happy, motivated and in the studio. This is a highly detailed project management position. The position requires someone who is able to interface with high level executives one minute and run errands the next. You will project manage everything from new business to the smallest daily task. Even though you may not actually create or do everything you will still be held accountable for all schedules and all content. You will also be ”the face” of the artists brand so professionalism and execution skills are an absolute must. If either your kitchen or your bedroom is messy right now do not apply for this job you will not last a single week.

Applicant will coordinate on a daily basis with record label, booking agencies, PR companies, marketing consultant, merchandise dept., social media director and content creators to keep everything on track and execute the goals of every campaign. Applicant takes on all the responsibility of every project even though most projects will be executed by someone else. You will be responsible for managing every project until it is completed properly.

Applicant will know how to create and maintain a social media calendar and the artist full schedule. You will keep everything up to date including logistics, passwords, logins, frequent flyer numbers, etc. You will also be advancing the artists performance schedule. Some experience advancing will be required.

The ideal candidate will be extremely positive and supportive of the artist, have excellent communication skills and be able to prioritize and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding and ever-changing environment. Timing is a valuable asset, figuring out good times to present information. We work as a team to execute the artist’s vision and achieve the primary goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Make sure all music release assets are happening on time and being executed correctly
Manage the artist’s daily schedule including interviews phone calls, meetings, etc.
Get through all emails in short designated time periods.
Interface daily with booking agents. Coordinate and present the artist with tour date offers from booking agents.
Manage tour date information and update the artists tour calendar
Coordinate marketing and publicity for the artist especially for release dates and giant tour dates.
Maintain artists’s websites and social media calendar (including Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Instagram, Website and Video channels).
Managing artist newsletter and all online properties associated with the artist.
Proof read all content
Manage art director and content schedule
Advance shows
Coordinate merchandise development and production
Track and report artist analytics
Update logistics information on a continuous basis

Requirements
2 years of Project Management experience in a real company
1 year advancing shows or equivalent tour management experience
Music Management or Booking agency experience preferred but other relevant experience will be considered
Knowledge and Competency in Asana
Solid communication and writing skills
Willingness to take responsibility for all moving parts in the artists career
Strong Understanding of social media, marketing tools and trends
Knowledge of Music business is a plus.
Salary – Based upon experience
